PhD project description
Cloud based services are gaining acceptance across organizations and academia. Taking a decision for the adoption of clouds is not trivial as it is influenced by many factors. These factors are dependent on the cloud service to be adopted and on the expectations a customer has for such a migration. A potential customer, therefore, should evaluate the relevant factors affecting the adoption of the cloud and the expected impact cloud services will have on the organization’s business goals. This PhD work introduces the Trade-offs Decision Methodology for the Adoption of Clouds. It provides a methodology that supports the evaluation of the decision of adopting the cloud by a two-steps process: (a) Evaluating alternative cloud solutions based on multiple criteria and, (b) establishing a trade-offs strategy for a multi-objective business environment.
