Corinna Schmitt
Biography
Dr. Corinna Schmitt received her diploma degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Tübingen (Germany) in 2006. After contracts by Verigy Germany in Böblingen and the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology (IGB) she joint the Technische Universität München (Germany) in 2008. Her Ph.D. work at the Department of Computer Science at the chair „Network Architectures and Services“ by Prof. Dr.-Ing. G. Carle focused on wireless sensor networks. She established an efficient data transmission protocol - called TinyIPFIX - with additional features for aggregation, compression, secure transmission, and user friendly and flexible GUI (CoMaDa). She received her Ph.D. in 2013 and joint the „Communication Systems Group“ (CSG) of Prof. Dr. Burkhard Stiller at the Department of Computer Science, University of Zurich in Switzerland. Her research focuses now on wireless sensor networks, mobile communications, trust, and security. Within the CSG group she is the head for mobile and trusted communications.
