I’m a Full Professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), ascribed to the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the Telecommunications School of Barcelona. I hold a degree of Telecommunication Engineer and a Doctor degree in Telecommunication Engineering, both from UPC. My academic activity is related to communication systems engineering and to the field of networking.

My current research interests are in network and service management and enabling technologies. By now I’m leading the UPC research group MAPS in the projects Connectivity as a Service: Access for the Future Internet (CoSAIF), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitivity,  End-to-end Virtual Resource Management across Heterogeneous Networks and Services (EVANS), Service Management in Federated e-Infrastructures (FedSM), and Management of the Future Internet (FLAMINGO),  these last three within the 7th FP of the European Union.
